| The Community Archive.
We want to use the full power of the
educational broadband links installed in Cardiff to build a
"Community Archive". The archive will be a
living and expanding library of recollections of life in
Cardiff. Contributions can be any computer file including
text, still images, audio and video.
The public will be asked to submit
articles for approval and inclusion but qualified users will
be able to add and approve content immediately.
The archive is really an intelligent
library that continually links all similar items. It
will contain a search engine as well as the ability to
display the latest and most popular items. In this way
no single item will be lost.
Collecting Material.
There are a number of schemes available to
help schools join and assemble their own archive material
